Buenas tardes mi querida familia!
This week we had an amazing experience with our friends Berema and
John! We decided to teach them a lesson about the Sabbath Day and the
sacrament. It was one of the most powerful lessons I have had on the
mission. We gave them a church tour and then finished in the chapel.
We had this vision for the part of the lesson in the chapel and with
the help of the spirit it worked out amazing! I was a little nervous
because they brought there two crazy kids, but we just did the best we
could and let the Lord do the rest. We had them sit in the front of
the chapel. We printed off copies of the sacrament prayers and as well
had 2 pictures of Christ. We invited them to ponder what the savior
had done for them as they read the prayers and held onto the photos.
As they did that, my amazing companion played "Redeemer" by Paul
Cardall. (An arrangement to I know that my Redeemer Lives). The spirit
was so strong. After we talked about how they felt during the hymn.
Berema spoke with tears filled in her eyes, "I don't know how to even
describe what I'm feeling. All I can say is it's peace, it's good."
Never have I felt the spirit give me the shivers so strong during a
lesson. Also what was so amazing was that as the spirit was so thick
even though her kids were literally screaming running down the isles.
The spirit is so powerful. It is the power of God, and we are nothing
without it.
Fourth of July was one of the greatest days I have had on my mission,
our little branch had a little get together. The Zone leaders serve
with us in our branch and right when we all arrived all the little
kids ran up to us, grabbed us by our hands, and pulled us to their
dirt soccer field. For the last next hour we played futbol with a
basketball. Missionaries against all the kids! It was so magical!
Jose, a member, would run in the middle of the game and shoot off
fireworks. Me and my companion had this moment as we're running around
with fireworks going off around us when we both said, "there is no
place we would rather be!" Missions are the greatest!
I feel so blessed to be able to be here! Wouldn't change it for the world!
Have an amazing week!
