buenos!
This week was absolutely beautiful. :) Everyday is a party here with Hermana Hurst. Its actually funny, I always want to call her by her first name. Which is so weird, I have never had that with a companion! She tells me the same thing every time! We dont of course, but everyday I just feel like Im with one of my best friends! This is our last week together because she is heading back to Odgen Utah next week. It is going to be rough to have to say goodbye to her. So I talked about Nery in my last email, and I have some happy happy news! Nery is getting baptized this Saturday! We went to a baptism with her this past Saturday and she loved it. The man who was recently baptized shared his testimony and his experience finding the church. She kept on leaning over to me and saying, "Just like me!" She is so cute. She is this little 67 year old woman who has the personality like a cheetah! She is from Panama and just has so much passion for the gospel already. The Lord truly does put people in our path. She kept on telling us, "I found the true church in Subway!"
This past Friday we found out that one of the members, Leticia, was in the hospital. She is 95 years old and is famous to the missionaries. We usually visit her 2 or 3 times every week. From day one she has taken me into her arms. We went to go see her and wow it was hard. I dont think I really realized how much I truly loved her until I saw her in the hospital bed. My companion and I (being the cry babies we are) were having a really hard time holding it back. I had this moment when I was sitting with her when I realized if I never came back out on the mission. All the people that I have met, I never would have known. It was so alien to me and I just had this overwhelming feeling of gratitude for this opportunity I have to love these people. If you could keep Leticia in your prayers that would be amazing :)
I hope you have a wonderful week full of milagros! (No Dad, not the restaurant.)
Con mucho amor,
Hermana Hubert
