Buenos tardes mi familia y amigos!
This week has been a beautiul one that is for sure. And a very eventful one. And well, I am definetly not in the Peru Arequipa mission anymore! It is crazy how different this mission is. And okay, the computer that I am using has a broken keyboard, but I only have an hour... so you might have to translate a little!
I am so grateful I came back! I dont even know where to start! I love the mission! I have two amazing companions. In our companinship invintory yesterday we all just talked about how grateful we were for each other. We are all on the same page, it truly is amazing.
This ward here is amazing! I am so excited to work with them in this work.
Spanish is coming back and getting better. One way the work is different here is people know englis and spanish. We mostly speak in spanish in the lessons but we can also speak english which has been nice to develop relationships with the members sooner!
I want to share a special experience my comp and I had on Friday. We were out knocking houses and there was a lot of yelling going on down around one house. As we were walking by, the parents ran into the car and yelled, "Go talk with them!" And then drove off. So me and my companion looked at each other, raised our shoulders, and approached the door. We ended up having an amazing lessons with three girls in 8th grade. (2 blondes and 1 brunette. I immediately thought of Marny Clara and I :) ) Well, these girls all had the same mom and different Dads. A very difficult home life. Well, as we started talkin to them, we found out the one one of the girls was baptized when she was 9 because her dad is an active member of the church who lives in Lehi. As we continued on wit the lesson we were able to teach them the power of prayer and how he answers our prayers always. We asked them if they have ever prayed before and they said that something happened last night that made them (as sisters) pray together. They were so interested and had so many questions and even wanted to be baptized. Unfortunetly we were knocking houses for a Zone activity so we had to give hese 3 sweet girls to some Elders. But I hope and pray they can continue on. The Lord always answers our prayers, I testify of this with my whole heart.
This work is amazing. I love you guys bunches!
