Buenas tardes familia y amigos! Espero que todo esta bien contigo :)
This week was insane haha! A lot of ups and downs! A miracle and then a bunch of dropped appointments! A miracle and then an investigator drops us... Ahhh... la vida buena.
So this week I got to go on exchanges for the first time and I got to go with two different sisters! One was Sister Afemata. She is from Hawaii and it was way fun. Its interesting to work with different companions and see how each missionary is different. She has three older brothers who all play rugby! She played basketball and volleyball in high school and plays rugby too. I felt really safe that night when some gay drunk guy came and started yelling at us about what we believed. haha she is a strong cookie. I let her take him on hahah... But who knows.. might be rooming with her when I get home at BYU HI ;) She also loves surfing, it was a fun day for sure! The next sister I went on exchanges with was Sister Jones. We were in the YSA so that was really cool! Another cool fact is that I will be ending my mission with her! She is so chill I would love the opportunity to serve with her as well! When I was on splits with her we went to a members home for lunch. They had the CUTEST little toe head blonde I was dyin! She was glued to my hip the whole time! She kept on saying how we were twins. So cute.
The ward here is on fire. We are really working with the members and our members are really embracing the investigators that we are bringing to church. A miracle happened on Sunday! Un hombre came to the church basically in tears looking for help. He has some really big trials in his life right now. He just moved here from Pheonix because of some family problems. He was taking the lessons before and even had a baptism date. We are really excited to teach him! We have been looking for the "yes sayers" and Heavenly Father has really been answering our prayers.
Also we are working a lot with the youth. Its the BEST! Partly because the youth speak english :) But we are working with our ward mission leader to have an activity with the youth about Family History! Itll be sweet. (Okay our ward mission leader is bomb. He expects us to text him every night to hear about all our lessons. He is an incredible example of magnifying their calling!) Back to the youth... We have been challenging them to pray for missionary experiences. I want to send that challenge home to whoever is reading this! Pray for missionary experiences. They will come. Dont be scared either.. it isnt scary! Satan wants us to be scared because he knows of the power of your testimony.
Love you dearly! Have a great week!
