So yesterday we got a change in the branch presidency!! And guess who
is the branch president? My father here in Deming, Hermano Quintana!
When they announced the change I almost started crying and wanted to
run up to him and give him a big hug. But can't do that. Missionary
problems. I am so excited to work with him. He has changed me life.
His family has changed me life. Every time I go over there, I feel
like I'm home. Hermana Quintana gives me a big hug and it feels just
like I'm hugging my mom. It is also really special because their
daughter served in Arequipa so we have a pretty special connection if
I do say so myself. :) I know the reason why I was supposed to come to
Deming was to meet them.
We had a handful of miracles this week! Luis our little grandpa here
is set for his baptism in October! He was super hesitant about it, but
now he is so sure. All his children aren't too happy about it, and
we're trying to convince him not to, but he is set. Please keep our
little Luis in your prayers!
We are teaching a new investigator named Vivianna! She is my age so
it's really cool and different! The only difference between us is she
has one kid and is about to have another kid next month. Ha. Sometimes
you feel suuuuuper young as a missionary!
We are teaching a less active that I just adore! She loves to sing for
us when we go over there! I pray and hope that she can come to church
at least once before I leave Deming!
Also, I got a message from the Zetinos that Hermano Zetino passed the
sacrament yesterday and their son was baptized! And Hermano now is a
branch missionary and Hermana Zetino is a relief society teacher!
Happiness!
Things are going well in Deming! Please keep Luis, Vivianna, And
Martha in your prayers!
Love you all and thank you soooo much for all your support and prayers!
