Familia!
Thank you for all the emails, they meant so much! Its always so so good to hear from you, I wish I had time to tell you guys everything but there is a little stupid stopwatch getting closer and closer to 0 every second! haha
Im so glad you guys had a good time in Idaho, I have the coolest family! You guys mean so much to me!
This week was a good one I dont really feel like doing a mass email this week, I just want to write to you the family.
Mamma and Papa. I love you SO MUCH. Can I just say I have the best parents ever? Thank you for everything you have taught me, I have realized how really lucky I have been to have you guys and all that you guys have taught me. Really, so many people have come here with such different circumstances I really was blessed. I miss you papa, so much, and your smoothies haha. And mom I miss you being there when I want to tell you something. There are so many miracles that happen here at the CCM and one of the hardest parts is not being able to tell you about them. One day though! This past week I kept on asking myself, WHY ME. Why was I so blessed? When me and my companion were teaching our "investigator", I got the opportuinty to share my testimony on the blessings that come from a wife and husband who center everything on the gospel. And in that moment, I realized that's one of the reasons. The people of Peru need to know of what we have. And I can't wait to share it with them!
Last Saturday we went tracting in the Lima Norte mission. Which is also the poorest mission in Peru. I couldnt believe the things I saw, it was crazy. Me and my Latino Hermana were sitting in one small room with broken walls, broken wooden roof, bugs flying everywhere, smelling like dirty dogs, dripping in sweat. Sounds great huh? I couldnt understand anything that they were saying, they told us just to sit there and smile. Haha after the lesson I just told them that Im sorry that I couldn't understand anything, but I felt the love the Lord had for them. She gave me a big hug and said how she loved when gringos came because they carry heavily el Espiritu Santo. Its crazy the power of the spirit in missionaries! LOVE IT!
The language is coming along really well! I received the impression that I need to finish the book of mormon in spanish before I hit the field! Its crazy how much its accelerating my learning.
Hermana K and I are working hard! Whenever things get tense we always just sing hymns together. And not gonna lie it sounds DANG GOOD.
We had to say goodbye to the Latinos last night! Which was pretty hard, I balled like a baby with an Hermana that was staying in my room. We had a connection that I had never felt with anyone before in my life. I told her that in two years I (meaning my father) am going to fly her out to meet you guys and so we cant take her to the SLC temple. She is from Ecuador, so I dont know if that will ever happen but who knows! haha
I just want to finish with a cool experience that happened to me today. Every P-day we go to the Lima Temple. After the session I got to sit alone in the sealing room. I was thinking about you guys cause I felt like you guys were right there with me. I said a prayer for just something, just a quick glance of you guys or something. Then shortly after a special Hermana, Hermana Mahas came in and just sat there. Ill tell you more about her in a letter because i found FOUR STAMPS! Then after this funny funny hermana came prancing in looking and checking herself out in the forever mirrors. Then two other Hermanas came in, Hermana Flora and Hermana Smith. As they sat down I realized that these were all the girl going to AREQUIPA! It was so cool. My district is SO amazing. They remind me of my friends in high school no joke, we are all close and all feel like we are here together for a reason. I wish I could send a picture I dont have one!
Dan if you're still reading this I hope my grammar has been driving you up the wall.
Anna.... ah man. A letter is coming your way sissy. Oh how I wish we could build a snowman.
As a district we sang God Be With you til we meet again on Sunday. I have never felt the spirit so strong in my life. I was like shaking. While the boys were singing I closed my eyes and just imagined Luke, Dan, and Keith singing. (Sorry Dad, just cant imagine you singing)
I hope Anna your clinics are going well, and Keith hope everything is going well wtih advertising! Hope everything is going well with scrapbox too!
Sometime take Marny out to lunch for me!
And Dad look up banana slicer, it would be perfect for freezing your bananas!
Love you tons!
