Buenas familia!!
This week was so awesome! I am so just happy I cant even describe it. I honestly love the mission so so much!
So this week was my first week working with Hermana Hurst (my little hipster companion). It was the funnest week in the mission so far. We work so well together its insane! Last night when President called to check up (because she is an STL) she was struggling talking because we were laughing so hard. This morning we even went up to Mt Lemon with one of the members! It was like a little Utah! I was so happy when we were driving up I almost started crying because of all the pine trees. I just love the mission guys!
So the beginning of the week I was SO scared and stressed. Its my first time taking over an area so I was pretty scared. The second day we were together (Wednesday) we had our first miracle of the week that I will never forget! We were leaving a lesson and were on our way to an appointment with the Lord. (Which is basically street contacting on a certain street to find a certain family) We only had 15 minutes because our last appointment went over. We really felt like we needed to try to get one more lesson in so we decided to still go to the street we planned. Like I said, we only had 15 minutes so we pulled over and prayed. We asked Heavenly Father to have spiritual eyes to see ONE house that we had time to contact. When we finished our prayer, we started to drive down the street. We both saw a house with a red truck. I heard "Red Truck" and right after Hermana Hurst said, "Red Truck". I was so excited we both got the same impression. We quickly pulled over the car and walked up to the house. The girl opened the door and said, "Wait! Are you the sister missionaries? Im Karen!" Karen was a less active that we have been trying to get a hold of ever since I got here! She had been babysitting her friends kids in her friends house. How crazy is that? She kept on saying, "Oh my gosh I cant believe this! Im going to cry!" After we had a lesson with her I just was feeling the spirit so strong. In that moment I was SO grateful that Heavenly Father was watching over me and directing us to that house. I know He lives with my whole heart and am so grateful for His hand in my life as a missionary.
Also Heavenly Father knows me so well! Before I was with Hermana Hurst.. I was missing my music. I was starting to feel a little confined not going to lie. But Hermana Hurst brought all these hymn arrangements that sound just like the music I listened to before! I have been in heaven! The Lord cares even about the little things!
I love you guys lots and hope you have a miracle filled week!
