HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISSY :)
Know that during our weekly planification i wrote HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNA all over my agenda :)
Since it is my amazing, beatiful, prefect sisters birthdy I want to share my favorite experience this week of the mission. i have never felt the spirit so strong in my life! Okay so there is an inactive here (and he has 50 guinea pigs on his roof). we have been teaching him ever since I got here and he has not been progressing whatsoever. But we have always felt like we needed to go back again. Mainly for his sobrino, Darian. He has 9 years and ... haha spanish problems. He IS 9 years old and lives with Julio because his dad is in jail and his mom passed away when he was little. Well this past week Darian was there and we were able to teach him about the love Jesus Christ has for all his children. We had originally planned to teach the Plan of Salvation but it just didnt flow. I love when the Spirit changes plans. Its always a little indicator that youre doing it right! Well at the end of the lesson Darian said he wanted to be baptized. So cute. But he said he wanted to wait til he was 10... yay ;) We are working with a member in the barrio who has hijos la same age. So we were trying to arrange a ride for darian so he could attend church this week. He was going to be staying at his Aunts house on Sunday so Julio gave us the direction of where her house was. When we later arrived at her house we were very familiar with it. Everytime we passed the house we always had the strongest impression that we needed to knock on the house next to it. we always did but there was never someone there. And just before my companion told me which house was darian´s aunts, I received the impression that we needed to knock on the door. Well we did, and it was AMAZING. Her name is Fiorella, and as soon as we asked her about Darian she started to cry. She is the sister of Darians mom who passed away. we began to teach her about the Plan of Salvation. man Im getting chills just talking about it. at one point in the lesson i knew Darians mom was right here with us, and she was leading us to her sister. in that moment i thought about anna, and how i would feel if i was in her position. i thought about how much she must miss her own sister and how much SHE must want to be with her for eternity. The spirit was so strong and we were able to tell her that she will see her sister again. she was so receptive. we walked away and I just felt the spirit so strong. i turned to my companion and said "darians mom wants him to be baptized!!" Us missionaries are not alone, there are angels here with us.Guiding us, we just have to always try our best to stay worthy to listen to the promptings of the spirit. So Anna Banana, thank you for supporting me out here. We get each other for eternity! but for these next year and a half, WE have to help other sisters be together for eternity too. The obra de salvacion is not just here in peru its everywhere. when I get home, im going to be a member missionary. we all need to be! missionary work is impossible without the members. so thats my challenge to you family this week! Find a family. inactive, members, investigators. For family dinner that you guys better still be doing, invite them, love them :)
