My heart is full of gratitude for my Savior, my light. A couple weeks ago I started to realize a stronger testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ. We were exercising in the morning and I was running on the track. It was still dark outside and I was definitely feeling the stresses of the mission. As I came around the corner of the track, I noticed a house in the distance on a hill. It was covered with Christmas lights and was a light for all those to see. Immediately, I found the stresses vanish and my heart was filled with peace and comfort. Christmas hymns began to ring in my head, and as I ran closer and closer to the house upon the hill I was filled with everlasting peace. I have come to realize that it doesn't matter what we are going through. It doesn't matter how thick the fear might be or how strong the doubts seem to be. The light of the savior will pierce through the midst of darkness, break through the wall of fear, and encompass your soul with peace. I have come to realize on the mission, it doesn't matter what kind of trial or affliction we are in. If we have the Savior, which we always do, we have everything. And we will overcome everything. His love is everlasting and will fill us wherever we are and whenever we ask. His hope is always there. We are never alone.
This week was amazing! I had so many reunions! We had a Spanish conference so I got to see my old companions and other missionaries who I hadn't seen for seven months. When we pulled up, another called pulled up by us and it was my Hermana beatty :) I ripped my seat belt off and jumped out of the car and hugged that girl so hard! A little later, we entered the church building then I saw Hermana Gregory! I ran my little heart out running to her! My heart was so full of joy.
I want to also share a funny experience that happened Thursday night, Hermana Baum and I were sleeping over at the passeys. We chose to sleep out on the couches in the living room. Hermana Baum is like me, some missionaries have that desire to stay up and talk with their companions past ten thirty. As for me, my sleep time is precious time. Haha! Well some of the other sisters were just chatting away in the living room where we were sleeping. I eventually just closed me eyes and tuned out of the conversation. But then at ten thirty I start thinking, "are they going to bed or what?" Well with my eyes closed, I hear the other sisters say "oh... " and then they all go quiet and leave the room quickly. I opened my eyes to see what happened. And then I see my companion in the middle of the room where they were once surrounded, kneeling down tall on top of her mattress saying her prayer. We have been laughing about this experience for days hahah
We have been working with a new family :) Lily, the mom, is a member. Her husband isn't a member but wants to be :) I love teaching them! Please keep them in your prayers :)
Have a wonderful week!
