This week was a miracle week! All good things. All good things :)
So I wanted to share the highlights. We almost went to Mexico! We took
our recent convert to Denny's down in Nogales. And if you didn't know,
Nogales is right on the border. So after dinner, we are driving
through Nogales and it's pretty dark. I didn't really know where the
heck I was going but was just falling main roads. Me and my comp were
chatting away and then before you know it we were about to cross the
Mexican border! Hermana Hubert's eyes shot open real fast and quickly
threw out a u turn (when you live in Arizona you get really good at u
turns..) I could only imagine what Kind of notification Pres would get
if we went to Mexico from our missions car monitors.. But it was super
sweet to see Mexico so close! It looked kinda like Lima with so many
colorful houses covering the hills.
You will never guess where I ate this week. Costa vida. It was so
heavenly. Tucson just got one, so after the leadership meeting me and
my comp went on a little comp date. I was in heaven. I sat down with
my delicious mango chicken salad in front of me, surf tapes that I
was... Trying to avoid.. And then this song came on from my favorite
band. It was just too much for me to handle. Tears of joy might have
started to arise. But I couldn't think of the band name to save me
life! (Mission veil.)
We found two new solid investigators this week! The day after we went
to Costa vida we felt we needed to visit a recently reactivated
member. Turns out there daughter and boyfriend just moved here from
Tucson and aren't members, but want to be! They are our age so it had
been really amazing teaching them. The daughters name is Bonny and she
is so sweet. A little miracle happened at the end of the lesson. We
were talking about music she liked to listen to and we asked her her
favorite band. She said Pheonix... The band that I listened to in
Costa vida that I couldn't remember the name to save my life. Tender
mercies from the Lord. The next day we went back and visited with them
to find that their husky had puppies! So I might just come home with a
husky puppy.
After the lesson, i felt so grateful for my Heavenly Father for all
the blessings he is sending our way! There are so many things to be
grateful for everyday, we just have to open our eyes and pay
attention. This week I made it a goal to only say prayers of
gratitude. It is amazing how much more color filled me life. The skies
were more blue, the Nogales trees were more green, and the sun shined
brighter. I want to invite each of you to fill your prayers with
gratitude to fill your life with more color.
Have an amazing week!
