Buenos dias familia! Que tal?!
I am so excited to share all the miracles that happened this week! This week was absolutely amazing!
On Tuesday I went on exchanges with Sister Thomas. Sister Thomas is an AMAZING missionary. Also, her roomate in the MTC was Hermana Mahas! (She was in my district in Peru and she served with me in my first area in Peru) It was such a miracle.
So we started the day off my going to meet with an investigator se llama Brian. We started off with a prayer and something happened that never happened to me before. As I closed my eyes and bowed my head I like imagined myself on a starting block in a swim meet. Like I saw my hands grab the block and I saw the water, the lane, everything! I thought about how it felt like at the end of the prayer I was about to start a little race or a lesson. After thinking about this, I thought to myself, "Okay Rache focus please!" So I quickly tried to erase the thought. Well not far into the lesson we discovered Brian was a swimmer! He was a sprinter and swam the 50 and the 100. He went to Nationals too! Since then he has had cancer 4 times and been through a lot of trials. We totally connected with him and during the lesson I was able to relate the lesson to swimming! It was so amazing! During the lesson, we related how the trials he has been given is like a really hard set. Our coach (Heavenly Father) knows we can do it or he wouldnt give it to us. Right now, Brian is in his last 100 meters, but He can do it. But he can only do it with the fullness of the gospel. At the end of the lesson we extended the baptismal invitation and he accepted! It was so awesome.
After the lesson we went to lunch! My vote was subway :) We pulled up and right next to Subway was a Peruvian resturant!!!! It was so crazy. We just looked at each other shocked! It was so fun! Sister Thomas had some Inka Cola... (I smelt it and it was enough. Yuckers.) I had some ceviche and then she had some Lomo Saltado! Also had some Yucca sticks! It was no coincidence. It was definetly a "Godsidence" :) I love those tender mercies that the Lord blesses us with.
So yesterday at Stake conference I saw Lynn Robinson, grandmas brother! It was cool because I kept on getting a prompting that I was going to see someone or something special was going to happen during conference. So when I walked into the first doors and saw Lynn I was happy. We went by his house later with President permission and gave him a little lesson. He shared with me his experience in the temple and how we felt grandma and grandpa there. I really felt them there with me during that lesson. We invited him to keep reading the book of mormon!
Yesterday during conference the Mesa Temple President spoke and stated something so profound. He said, "You can buy 1200 dollar plane tickets to Jerusalem to walk where Jesus walkED, or you can go to the temple and walk where we walkS today." I love the temple so much because I know the blessings it brings. We can receive true revelation there. I challenge you guys to go THIS week. "Come unto me and I will give you rest". Let us walk where He walks today.
Have a blessed week!
