Happpppy Halloween! :) This week was amazing and full of miracles! This area truly is amazing. We had ward council yesterday, and it was easily the most effective ward council I have seen. No wonder missionaries love this area! The members are incredible! My companion is teaching me so much about how to work smarter rather than harder, I am so grateful to have her as my comp! Yesterday we sat down with the two bishops and got a list of all the part member families in our area. We both feel strongly that these are the people we need to work with! My comp made my day the other morning after we went running. It is getting pretty "chilly" here in the mornings and I was scared that my companion was going to mention that we should stop going to the track to run. After we ran she asked, "Do you think we can start waking up at 5:45 instead so we can have more time to run?" Music to Hermana Hubert's ears. This week we also went to exchanges :) I went with Sister Quinonez. It was really cool because Hermana Baum and I both felt that we wanted to help our sisters realize the spiritual gifts they have. As the exchange started, the perfect opportunity came to ask her to study her patriarchal blessing and find her gifts. Also want to challenge all those who are reading this to do the same. Read your patriarchal blessing and write down all the spiritual gifts that are mentioned! Heavenly Father can show you yours. It was a little stressful being on exchanges because I honestly feel like I am still figuring out how to be a missionary! But I realized that on the exchange is that God called me not only for who I will become, but who I already am. All I need to do is love them, support them, and be their sister. So Nogales is full of hipsters and I really appreciate it. One member after feeding us pulled out her guitar and shared a song she wrote about the savior. It was just perfect. Another member gave me a full Dioterra essential oil. That was a highlight. The relief society president has a huge collection of records. And our ward mission leader's wife gave us homemade graham crackers that were made with honey. I am so content with life right now, I feel so blessed! We see miracles everyday and I know we are going to leave this area off better than we found it! Also a huge miracle was president allowing me to call my daddio for some school business. He usually calls on Sunday nights to talk to me and my comp, but he randomly called us Saturday night. After I got permission to call dad, I realized I would be able to call him on his birthday! Even though it was super short, it is always good to hear your daddy's voice! And of course mom tries to be obedient so she doesn't say anything! Haha love you mom! Hope you all have a wonderful week! Hermana Hubert
